During high-intensity combat, my frame rate would suddenly tank from 120 FPS to 45 FPS, and the input lag became unbearable. HWiNFO revealed the culprit: the VRMs on the Maxsun B850ITX were hitting 102,0C, triggering a brutal CPU thermal throttle that dropped my clocks from 5,2GHz to 3,1GHz. I tried undervolting the CPU cores first, but a 5,0C drop did not stop the frame dips—it was too subtle.
