Kioxia G3 Cache Strategy for Mass Effect
During a Mass Effect story climax, the screen went black for three seconds, ruining the immersion. I tried increasing virtual memory, but it failed and caused disk conflicts that dropped the frame rate to 30 FPS. I then entered GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration, increased the queue depth from 1024 to 2048, and enabled the forced write cache refresh strategy on my Kioxia EXCERIA PLUS G3 1TB. GamePP Hardware Sensor showed temperature stable at 45-52°C, and CrystalDiskMark confirmed 4K random read speed increased from 45MB/s to 68MB/s, eliminating the stutter.
