Why does my Maxsun B850M WIFI throttle in Forbidden West?

Man, they called this board the 'Terminator,' and it lived up to the name by terminating my frame rate. My clock speed would be cruising at 4.5GHz and then suddenly dive to 2.0GHz—it felt like I was playing a slideshow. The VRMs on the Maxsun B850M were hitting 105℃ under load, triggering the board's emergency protection. I tried removing the power limits in BIOS, but that was a joke; the VRMs hit 112℃ and the whole system just rebooted. I ended up rigging a small 4cm fan to blow directly onto the chokes and manually capped the PL1 power limit at 125W. Using HWMonitor, I saw the VRM temps drop from 105℃ to a manageable 82-88℃, and the FPS swings dropped from 20 frames to just 5. I actually messed up and bumped the RAM pins while installing the fan, which caused a no-boot situation until I reseated the sticks. CPU temps stayed around 75-82℃. I exported the logs to verify, and the fan speed is now locked at 1400-1600RPM.
