Tuning Intel Core i5-14600KF for Once Human stability?
Every time I started placing complex structures in my base, the screen would hit these unsettling micro-hitches that made me incredibly anxious. The default voltage on the i5-14600KF was struggling with multi-threaded peaks, with the Vcore dipping by 0.08V around the 1.15V mark, causing clocks to bounce wildly between 3.8GHz and 5.3GHz. I first tried enabling the 'Ultimate Performance' power plan in Windows, but that was a disaster—CPU temps hit 98℃ and triggered thermal throttling immediately. I went back into the BIOS, set a manual Vcore offset of +0.05V, and dialed the Load-Line Calibration to Level 4. In OCCT stress tests, the voltage drop shrunk from 80mV to about 30mV. I actually overdid it on the first try and pushed it to 1.3V, which caused the motherboard to trip and shut down instantly; a scary lesson in precision tuning. Now, temps stay between 65-78℃ under load. After five hours of gaming, the stutters are gone and the mouse feel is buttery smooth.
