Why is my Zhitai TiPro9000 4TB choking on Dune Awakening?
Whenever I hit the vast Arrakis dunes, the loading bar just hangs at 88%, which is a total immersion killer in an open world. The Zhitai TiPro9000 4TB's dynamic SLC cache gets saturated during heavy streaming, causing random read speeds to tank from 700 MB/s down to a shaky 420-560 MB/s. I initially tried locking my virtual memory to a fixed size, but that was a disaster—it didn't stop the stutters and actually caused the game to crash when RAM usage spiked. After that mess, I installed the latest NVMe drivers, killed the power-saving mode in Device Manager, and forced the write cache flush. In CrystalDiskMark 4K random read tests, latency dropped from 62ms to a much tighter 35-41ms, and map transitions finally stopped hitching. I did run into a weird issue where the drive would occasionally drop out during idle after the driver update, but disabling PCIe Link State Power Management in the BIOS fixed it for good. Temps are sitting steady at 46-53℃ with the heatsink doing its job. HWiNFO shows a smooth read curve now, and frame times are rock steady at 5.1-6.4ms.
