NVMe Queue Depth Tuning
While speeding through Night City, I experienced absolute screen freezes of about 1.5 seconds whenever entering new areas, which felt jarring on an NVMe drive. I first tried disabling the write cache in the system for stability, but this actually increased loading times by 3 seconds, making me realize I was heading in the wrong direction. I used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to increase the queue depth from 32 to 128 and optimized the I/O scheduling algorithm. CrystalDiskMark confirmed random reads stabilized at 65-74MB/s, and AIDA64 showed drive temperatures maintained at 45-51℃.
