Stabilizing GTA VI Frame Rates
Racing through the streets of Vice City, the screen frequently hitches without warning, which is incredibly jarring during high-speed chases. I first tried setting power management to 'Prefer Maximum Performance' in the driver, but the core temperature hit 88℃ and triggered throttling, which actually made me excited to try more precise control. I entered the GamePP Power Plan Switcher, set the mode to Balanced, and locked the minimum GPU frequency at 2200MHz. Frame generation time converged to 9-12ms per RTSS, core temp hit 74-80℃ per AIDA64, and freq stayed 2200MHz per GPU-Z.
