How to fix memory latency on Maxsun B850M WIFI ICE?
Those tiny micro-stutters during ancient scenery transitions completely killed the immersion. Digging through the hardware logs, I found the Maxsun B850M WIFI ICE memory controller was hitting massive latency spikes of 115-130ns during heavy asset loads. I tried the motherboard's Auto-OC profile first, but while the clocks went up, the game would crash randomly every 30 minutes—absolutely maddening. I went into the BIOS, bumped the SoC voltage from 1.1V to 1.2V, and loosened the primary timings from 36-36-36-76 to 40-40-40-80. In AIDA64, the latency dropped from 120ns to a tight 82-88ns, and the hitching vanished. I actually had two boot failures when I first bumped the voltage, but it stabilized after I set the DRAM voltage to 1.35V. Now memory temps stay around 42-48℃ and the chipset is at 55-62℃. After 6 cycles of MemTest86 with zero errors, temps peaked at 58-63℃.
