Fixing Texture Pop-In in Expeditions: Rome
Riding through Rome's outskirts, I watched distant mountains appear as blocky pixels, ruining the open-world feel. I tried increasing the page file to 32GB, but it backfired, dropping FPS from 78 to 61 and worsening performance. I used GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Config to raise the queue depth to 2048 and enabled forced write cache flushing. CrystalDiskMark showed 4K random reads improved to 68-75MB/s, and MemTest86 confirmed zero errors after 6 loops, with memory temperature stable at 46-52℃. This fix restored the visual flow.
