Is XMP unstable on Kingbank Black Blade DDR5 6800MHz?

Every time a chaotic team fight breaks out, the game just vanishes to the desktop, which is incredibly frustrating when you're mid-match. While the Kingbank Black Blade DDR5 6800 has insane bandwidth, the memory controller is struggling, with voltage swinging wildly between 1.1V and 1.35V. I tried downclocking to 6000MHz; it stopped the crashes, but I lost about 12 FPS, which felt like a huge waste of expensive RAM.
