Cool VRMs for Nioh 2 Battles
During a ghost swarm battle in Nioh 2, my CPU suddenly downclocked, causing severe stuttering that made the fight unwinnable. I tried increasing case fan airflow, but the temperature only dropped by 2℃, which was negligible. I needed a voltage solution. I entered the BIOS and fine-tuned the VCCSA voltage from 1.25V to 1.20V, then optimized the CPU core voltage curve. Cinebench R23 stress tests confirmed the VRM temperature stabilized at 75-80℃, down from the previous 85-90℃. GamePP monitoring showed the case temperature holding at 72-76℃.
