Fixing Colorful CVN B760M Frozen WiFi D5 memory issues in LoL
In the middle of a chaotic teamfight, seeing your FPS tank from 144 down to 80 is an absolute disaster in a competitive game. The D5 slots on the Colorful CVN B760M were suffering from EMI, causing the memory controller to trigger 12-18 error corrections per second above 6000MHz, which directly caused the drops. I tried the driver-level performance mode, but it just added 4℃ to my core temp without fixing the lag—totally useless. I decided to downclock the RAM from 6400MHz to 6000MHz and nudged the voltage to 1.3V to ensure signal integrity. RTSS showed frame times tightening from a 6-15ms swing to a steady 6-8ms, and the game finally feels responsive. I had a brief boot delay when I first lowered the frequency, but reloading the XMP profile cleared it up. Temps stayed around 42-48℃. AIDA64 stress tests confirmed zero errors, and the performance is now verified.
