Reducing NVMe Read Latency
Sneaking through the dense jungle made me anxious because the screen would stutter without warning, ruining the tension. I tried disabling all Windows auto-updates, but loading times only improved by 0.8s, which did nothing for the stutters. I used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configurator to raise the queue depth from 32 to 128 and enabled low-latency mode. CrystalDiskMark confirmed random reads rose from 58MB/s to 74MB/s, and HWiNFO showed temps stable at 42-50°C. The gameplay is now flawless.
