Optimizing I/O Latency
Every time I switched dimensions, the screen froze for 0.3 seconds, creating a jarring lack of fluidity that made me incredibly anxious. I tried forcing PCIe Gen 2 in BIOS; although latency decreased slightly, NVMe read speeds plummeted and loading times jumped by 5 seconds, which was pure torture. I then used the GamePP Resource Scheduler to set the bus priority for the GPU and storage to 'Highest' and disabled energy-saving link states. RTSS monitoring showed frame times converged from 18-35ms to 12-16ms, while AIDA64 showed chipset temps at 52-58℃ and GamePP logged fans at 1400-1600 RPM.
