Crucial DDR4 3200MHz memory controller optimization for Rome
Having a loading bar freeze at 99% for ten seconds is an absolute mood killer; it completely destroys the flow of tactical deployment. Looking at the data, my Crucial DDR4 3200MHz 16GB was jumping between 800-1100MHz (CPU-Z) on the memory controller while in Balanced mode, making data throughput wildly unstable. I first tried enabling 'High Performance Memory' in the BIOS, but while it shaved two seconds off the load, my CPU temps spiked to 85°C - 90°C (HWiNFO), which made me hesitate. Instead, I used the GamePP Power Plan Switcher to force the system into 'Ultimate Performance' mode and tweaked the memory controller voltage offset.
