Why are textures loading slowly in Dead Space 2 Remake?

Entering ship interiors made me anxious as CrystalDiskMark showed read latency spiking between 110-150ms, causing terrible texture pop-in. I tried installing the game on different physical partitions, but the lag persisted whenever reads hit 2GB/s. I used GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Config to increase the depth from 64 to 256. CrystalDiskMark then showed 4K random reads rose to 60-65MB/s, and HWiNFO confirmed temps at 42-50℃.
