Why does Planetside Aftermath drop frames in 1000-player battles with Kingbank 32GB DDR4 3600?

This game eats RAM for breakfast; it's basically a torture test for my Kingbank Silver Lord sticks. It was a mess: the screen would freeze, RAM usage would rocket to 28GB, and my FPS would tank from 144 to 30 in a heartbeat. I joked that I wasn't even playing a game anymore, just stress-testing hardware.
