How to fix frame rate drops during Metro Exodus explosions?

Explosions in the subway dropped my Sapphire RX 9070 XT 16G to 45 FPS. I tried maxing fan speed to 100%, but temps spiked and performance worsened. Using GamePP Power Plan Switcher, I changed to High Performance and redrew the fan curve to 80% at 75C. GamePP Hardware Sensor Page showed temps stable at 72-75C. FPS recovered to 58-62. This strategy exports consistent thermal headroom.
