Stop Momentary Freezes in Dead Space
In the flickering shadows of the corridors, my CPU hit 98℃ per AIDA64, causing the screen to freeze for 0.5 seconds—a total disaster for the atmosphere. I tried enabling power-saving mode in the BIOS, but it didn't lower the temperature and actually made the frame rate worse, which felt ironic. I used the GamePP Fan Curve Configuration Panel to set a stepped speed increase of 80-100% for the 70-90℃ range, then added a 5℃ hysteresis. CPU temperature stabilized at 82-88℃ per HWMonitor and 3DMark CPU tests confirmed the frequency stayed at 4.0-4.3GHz per CPU-Z.
