Can a smoothing algorithm fix erratic hardware temperature readouts?
The numeric jitter was driving me crazy. I first tried adjusting the polling rate in BIOS, but it did nothing. Then I enabled AIDA64's data smoothing with a 5-second window. Report 2025-FH5-08 showed temperatures oscillating wildly between 40℃ - 60℃ before the fix; afterward, it stayed as a smooth curve peaking at 62℃. Through 3 stress loops, this aligned with the actual chassis heat. Just be aware: smoothing causes alert lag. If the drive hits a critical peak, the software might take 2-3 seconds to reflect it.
