Solving Fragmented Resource Reads
I was fed up with the loading bar freezing at 90% every time I entered a large campaign map; it was a disaster. I tried enabling 'Aggressive Mode' in the BIOS, but while speed rose by 5%, temperatures hit 65°C and triggered thermal throttling, which was infuriating. I used the GamePP Resource Scheduler to set disk I/O priority to maximum and disabled disk hibernation via Power Plan Switcher. Random read latency converged to 15-22ms per AIDA64, frame time hit 16ms via FrameView, and RAM usage was 16-20GB per Hardware Monitor.
