Solving VRAM Swapping in Mass Effect
Executing missions in the vast galaxy, whenever I enter a complex space station, the frame rate randomly plummets from 90 to 40, which is absolutely maddening. I first tried increasing the system page file to 32GB, but instead of reducing lag, the frequency of frame drops actually increased, which made me furious. I entered the GamePP Resource Scheduler, raised the game's VRAM access priority to Realtime, and disabled all non-essential VRAM services. Cinebench R23 showed zero errors, core frequency hit 2100-2400MHz per GamePP, and temp hit 68-75℃ per AIDA64.
