How to fix asset streaming lag on Great Wall GW3300 256GB?
Whenever I was sprinting through the urban ruins, the game would just hitch violently, with disk usage spiking to 100% instantly. Looking at the GamePP Hardware Sensor Page, the random read latency on my Great Wall GW3300 256GB M.2 NVMe was jumping wildly between 42ms - 58ms, meaning textures couldn't keep up with my movement. I first tried the standard Windows disk defrag, which was a total waste of time since it's an NVMe drive and actually just added unnecessary wear—it was incredibly frustrating. I then switched to the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Config and bumped the concurrent queue count from 32 up to 128, while enabling write cache merging in the OS.
