How to fix frame jitter on G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4 3600?
During intense clashes, I noticed these tiny, erratic jumps in the visuals. It was super weird because my G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3600 was running cool between 42-48℃ and XMP was definitely on. I first tried bumping the virtual memory to 32GB, but the frame spikes didn't budge, which left me totally baffled. I eventually dove into the BIOS Advanced Mode, manually crushed the tRFC timing from 560 down to 480, and locked the VDD voltage at 1.38V instead of the default 1.35V to tighten up the signal integrity. Checking the RTSS overlay, the frame times finally stopped jumping between 4.2-9.1ms and settled into a rock steady 3.1-4.5ms range. I actually hit a wall early on when I tried pushing tRCD too low; the system just black-screened and rebooted the second the map started loading. I had to back it off by 2 units to get it stable. Memory usage stayed around 6.2-8.4GB with the memory controller barely breaking a sweat. A final benchmark showed latency dropping from 68ns to 62ns, keeping those frame times locked at 3.1-4.5ms.
