Eliminating Fog-Induced Stutter
Exploring the foggy streets of Silent Hill, the screen occasionally freezes instantly, which is a disaster for a horror game. I tried increasing virtual memory to 16GB, but this led to more frequent page swap stutters, a counterproductive result. I then used the GamePP Resource Scheduler to set the game process to the highest priority. RTSS monitoring showed frame times converging to 13-18ms with scheduling latency at 20-38ms, and AIDA64 confirmed memory temperatures at 48-56℃.
