Is PWM frequency the cause of B360 pump lag in Kingdom Come?
There's nothing like the rush of seeing your FPS jump from 60 to 80 once you actually unlock your hardware's potential. The Cooler Master B360 pump was struggling with the terrible optimization of Kingdom Come, with the PWM signal jumping between 30% and 100%, causing temps to swing from 60°C - 85°C. I tried locking the pump speed, but that created a weird physical vibration in the tubes—definitely not the way to go. I went into the BIOS advanced settings, shifted the PWM frequency from 25kHz to 15kHz, and added a 5-second smoothing delay. In Cinebench R23, the temp variance dropped to within 3°C, and the frame time graph became a flat line. The pump actually stopped for ten seconds during the first tweak, which scared me, but a BIOS reload fixed it. Radiator fans are now at 1200 - 1500 RPM. Response time is 40% faster, and the mode switch is seamless.
