How to stabilize Zotac RTX 2060 Super frames in FF16 PC?
I'm stoked! Even in 4K scaling mode, the visuals look stunning. The 2060 Super is getting old, but it can still fight with the right tweaks. I noticed the core clock was bouncing wildly between 1500MHz and 1800MHz, causing annoying micro-stutters. I tried the 'Prefer Maximum Performance' setting in the driver, but it didn't do much; frames still fluctuated between 35-50 FPS. I then used the GamePP Process Priority Manager to lock the Boost clock at 1750MHz and nudged the memory clock to 7000MHz. In the GamePP Frame Time Analyzer, the generation time converged from 22-30ms down to 18-21ms. I almost blamed my aging PSU before realizing it was just a scheduling issue.
