The loading bar would just hang at 90% like it was thinking about life, which is absolutely lethal when you're trying to navigate the desert. I realized the SLC dynamic cache on the TiPro9000 was filling up, causing random read speeds to plummet from 7000MB/s to under 1200MB/s. I tried setting the virtual memory to half of the remaining disk space, but that actually made it worse—the I/O conflicts increased and the frame drops got more frequent. I ended up updating to the latest NVMe drivers and disabled the disk sleep mode in the Windows power options. Testing with CrystalDiskMark, my 4K random reads jumped from 42-50MB/s to 65-72MB/s, shaving about 4 seconds off load times. I did have a weird moment where the drive vanished after adjusting the queue depth, but switching to the High Performance power plan fixed it instantly. Temps stayed between 45-55℃.
