How to stabilize i5-14600KF clock speeds for Wuthering Waves?
The game would just hitch the moment I unleashed an ultimate, and it felt like the CPU was starving for power—absolutely lethal in a fast-paced fight. The stock power limits on the i5-14600KF are way too conservative, causing the clock speeds to swing violently between 3.8GHz - 5.2GHz, which created 15ms - 30ms frame time spikes. I tried the 'Extreme Performance' preset in the software first, but that was a disaster; temps shot up to 98℃ and triggered thermal throttling immediately. I had to go into the BIOS and manually set the Core Voltage Offset to -0.050V and crank the Power Limit up to 180W. Monitoring via MSI Afterburner, the clocks finally locked in at 5.1GHz - 5.3GHz, and my 1% lows climbed from a stuttery 42 FPS back up to 65 FPS. I actually tried pushing it to -0.1V, but the system blue-screened three times before I backed off to -0.050V. RAM is idling at 48℃ - 54℃ and VRMs are at 62℃ - 68℃. Stress tests confirm the clocks are rock steady now.
