How to stabilize Kingbank DDR5 6800 timings for World of Warcraft?
The speed at which NPCs load in Valdrakken is insane now, but getting here was a total nightmare of trial and error. Previously, textures would pop in like old Minecraft blocks, and the GamePP Memory Controller Load Monitor showed latency swinging between 82ns and 105ns. My first instinct was to just slap on the XMP profile in BIOS, but that led to an immediate BSOD on the loading screen; that aggressive preset was a joke. I switched to the GamePP BIOS Load-Line Voltage Adjust Wizard, manually tightening the primary timings from 34-40-40-84 down to 32-38-38-80 and bumping the voltage from 1.35V to 1.40V. In AIDA64, latency dropped to a tight 68ns - 74ns, and the hitching vanished.
