How to fix texture loading lag on Galax B760M D4 White Phantom?
The distant textures now pop in instantly, but getting here was a total grind. Before this, entering a new map felt like watching a slideshow as the ground textures slowly materialized. The GamePP Memory Controller Load Monitor showed latency jumping erratically between 105ns - 128ns. I tried the easy route by enabling the XMP profile in BIOS, but the system just blue-screened right at the loading screen, which told me I had to go manual. I opened the GamePP BIOS Load-Line Voltage Adjust Wizard and painstakingly tightened the primary timings from 18-22-22-42 down to 16-18-18-38, while bumping the DRAM voltage from 1.2V to 1.35V.
