R6 Siege Thermal Management
In a critical ranked match, my FPS plummeted from 240 to 90 after twenty minutes, and the performance collapse felt completely hopeless. I tried setting the BIOS fan mode to full speed; while the temperature dropped 5℃, the noise was like a helicopter taking off, which was just unacceptable. I decided to use the GamePP Fan Curve Configuration to implement an aggressive step-up curve for the 70-85℃ range. HWiNFO monitoring confirmed CPU temperatures stabilized at 72-78℃, and 3DMark stress tests verified no further throttling, with AIDA64 showing peak temps stayed below 98℃.
