Fixing ADATA DDR3 1600 bandwidth bottlenecks in Tomb Raider?
That feeling of being yanked backward while exploring a tomb is the worst; it completely kills the immersion. The default timings on this ADATA ValueRAM DDR3 1600 are way too conservative, leaving the bandwidth hovering between 22-26GB/s, which just can't handle modern asset streaming. I tried closing every single background app, but I only gained about 3 FPS—a total waste of time. I ended up manually expanding the virtual memory to 24GB and locked it to my NVMe partition, then pushed the BIOS frequency to 1866MHz. After 4 hours of MemTest86 with zero errors, the map transition stutters finally eased up. It wasn't a smooth ride, though; the system crashed twice on boot until I bumped the DRAM voltage from 1.5V to 1.65V. Motherboard temps are around 45-52℃ and the sticks stay between 40-46℃. The read/write graphs are finally flat, but honestly, this hardware is just showing its age.
