Resolving Memory Frequency Fluctuations
Mid-way through a tunnel battle, I noticed my frame rate dropping from 90 to 75 FPS, which completely broke the immersion. GPU-Z revealed my Gigabyte RTX 5060 OC's memory frequency was bouncing between 13000MHz and 14000MHz. I tried manually locking the frequency in the driver, but the system crashed and restarted, which was a total pain. I suspected a driver conflict but needed a more stable approach. I switched to the GamePP Hardware Sensor page to lock the memory frequency at a steady 13500MHz and adjusted the voltage to 1.05V. Benchmark tests confirmed the frame rate stabilized at 85 FPS. HWiNFO64 showed memory temperature holding at 65-70°C, and frame time dropped to 11.5-12.
