Optimizing 4K Random Reads
Exploring the main city was a nightmare; distant buildings looked like pixel blocks, totally killing the vibe. I tried setting virtual memory to half of my remaining disk space, but that actually triggered more read/write conflicts and worse frame drops. I finally used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to raise the queue depth to 2048 and enabled forced write cache flush. CrystalDiskMark showed 4K random reads jumped from 42-50MB/s to 65-72MB/s, while HWMonitor recorded temps at 48-55℃ and GamePP measured response times at 115-140ms.
