Resolving VRM Overheating Issues
My MSI B760M BOMBER DDR4 hit 85-92℃ during intense combat in Kuro no Kiseki, causing 12-28ms frame time jitter. I first tried increasing the page file size to 32GB, but it dropped the frame rate from 144 to 95 FPS, a total failure. I used GamePP Hardware Sensor Page to switch the fan curve to performance mode and increased VRM fan speed to 1800 RPM. After adjusting the temperature threshold to 75℃, Cinebench stress test confirmed the VRM temperature dropped to 68-74℃. Frame time stabilized at 7-12ms, and the motherboard temperature settled at 55-62℃. This fix completely resolved the stuttering.
