Prevent Thermal Throttling in Racing
Nothing kills a race lap like a sudden frame drop. My Gainward RTX 5060 Tempest OC spiked to 82°C, forcing the core frequency to crash from 2500MHz to 2200MHz. I tried adding six case fans, but the chaotic airflow only made the noise worse without cooling the GPU. It was a dead end. I switched to the GamePP Fan Curve Configuration Panel, setting the base speed to 1800 RPM with a linear ramp to 2200 RPM at 70°C. The results were solid. HWiNFO showed the temperature stabilizing at 68-72°C and the frequency holding steady at 2450-2550MHz. Four stress test loops confirmed no more downclocking. This is the fix you need for smooth racing.
