Optimizing NVMe Queue Depth for ARK
Entering a dinosaur nest was painful because distant vegetation took forever to load, causing screen tearing. I thought it was a PCIe bottleneck, so I tried switching to a SATA interface, but performance actually dropped, which was frustrating. The issue was the NVMe queue depth. I used the GamePP NVMe Queue Config to increase the depth from 1024 to 2048 and enabled forced write cache. The difference was dramatic. Storage read/write speed stabilized at 3200-3500MB/s per CrystalDiskMark, and drive temperature remained steady at 42-45℃ per HWMonitor.
