Is queue depth the right fix for Kioxia EXCERIA PLUS G3 lag?

I used GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Config to reduce depth to 1024 and enable forced write cache flush. My friend suggested a GPU driver reinstall, which caused screen flickering. After the GamePP adjustment, 4K random read stabilized at 68-72MB/s per AIDA64, and loading delay dropped to 0.8-1.0s.
