Cooling Fix for Fanxiang S790
While loading into Where Winds Meet, my Fanxiang S790 1TB was running hot, bouncing between 65℃ and 70℃. This triggered thermal throttling and made read speeds unstable. I tried cranking up the case fan speed, but it just made the noise unbearable without lowering the temperature. It was a dead end. I used GamePP Hardware Sensor to monitor the temps and installed an 8mm thick aluminum heatsink on the drive. Benchmark tests confirmed the temperature dropped to a stable 55-60℃ range. The drive now performs consistently without any performance degradation during heavy load times.
