Why is my Sapphire RX 9070 XT stuttering in Returnal?

Whenever the screen fills up with glowing particles, my FPS would tank from 120 down to 45, making the input lag unbearable and my anxiety spike. The Sapphire RX 9070 XT was just too slow switching between low and high load states, causing the async compute queue to jam up. I tried killing all the lighting effects in-game, but the game lost its entire vibe, and that was a compromise I just couldn't live with. I installed the latest drivers and flipped the power mode from Default to Ultimate Performance in the AMD Adrenalin panel to force the card to stay at high clocks. In real-time monitoring, my 1% lows jumped from 42 FPS to 88 FPS, and frame times tightened from 10-35ms to a clean 8-12ms. At first, the idle temps jumped by 10℃, but I fixed that by setting a custom fan curve starting at 50℃. GPU temps now sit at 68-75℃ with VRAM at 82-88℃. Benchmarks show the drops are gone and the controls feel snappy again.
