Fixing Samsung 990 PRO Throttling
Map switching in Phantom Brigade was a nightmare. My Samsung 990 PRO 4TB spiked from 45℃ to 72℃, causing write speeds to crash from 7000MB/s to 3000MB/s. I tried maxing out my case fans, but the noise was unbearable and the heat persisted. I used GamePP Hardware Sensor to diagnose the poor heatsink contact. I reinstalled the heatsink with a new thermal pad and adjusted the pressure. CrystalDiskMark confirmed write speeds recovered to 6800MB/s. The temperature stabilized at 48-52℃. I set the cooling profile to ensure no more stuttering.
