Dealing with memory overflow on Crucial DDR4 2400MHz 8GB?
Whenever I tried to move quickly through the wasteland, the game would just freeze for a split second. It's that classic stutter that makes you want to throw your mouse. With only 8GB of Crucial DDR4 2400MHz, the high-res textures just eat everything instantly, forcing the system to swap to the slow HDD page file. I was seeing RAM usage pinned at 94-98% in HWMonitor. I tried turning off all the anti-aliasing, which gave me maybe 5 extra FPS, but the stutters didn't budge, and I was starting to get really frustrated.
