How to fix memory errors in FFXV on Maxsun B850M WIFI?
Whenever I entered the city of Insomnia, the game would hitch in a way that made me genuinely anxious. With XMP enabled at 6000MHz, the memory controller voltage at 1.35V was just slightly unstable, causing random bit-flip errors when handling massive vertex data. I tried disabling XMP to run at stock speeds, but my minimums tanked from 60 FPS to 42 FPS, which was just depressing. I decided to manually bump the DRAM voltage to 1.38V and lock the VCCSA voltage at 1.20V to keep the controller stable under load. After four passes of MemTest86, the error count dropped from 12 to zero. The only downside was the RAM hitting 54℃, so I had to slap on some dedicated heatsinks to bring it back to 46-50℃. Now the memory bandwidth is a solid 82 GB/s with minimal latency jitter. The system is rock solid, and the controls finally feel responsive again.
