How to optimize Ryzen 7 7800X3D cache for FF7 Rebirth?
Every time I sprinted through the Midgar streets, my FPS would tank from 90 down to 30, and the sheer inconsistency gave me a massive headache. The 3D V-Cache was hitting a 12ms - 25ms scheduling delay when handling the dense city data, leaving the cores just waiting around. I tried setting the game process to 'High Priority' in Windows, but that just made my background apps crash constantly, which was incredibly frustrating. I eventually went into the BIOS, locked the RAM frequency at 6000MHz, synced the FCLK to 2000MHz, and enabled the Game Mode scheduling policy. In the telemetry, my minimums jumped from 28 FPS to 55 FPS, and the frame time variance tightened from 10ms - 35ms down to a smooth 8ms - 14ms. I tried pushing the RAM to 6400MHz at first, but the system kept rebooting randomly until I dialed it back to 6000MHz. CPU temps are stable at 62℃ - 70℃ and RAM is at 45℃ - 52℃. Benchmarks show the scheduling lag is basically gone.
