FireCuda 540 Latency Tuning
Exploring the Lands Between was giving me serious anxiety because of these weird 0.3s freezes every time a new area loaded. I tried enabling 'Ultimate Performance' in the Windows Power Plan, but it did absolutely nothing for the NVMe response latency. I eventually used GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to bump the queue depth from 32 to 128. CrystalDiskMark verified 4K reads improved to 74-88 MB/s, and AIDA64 showed read latency peaks at 130-165ms. HWMonitor confirmed the drive stayed cool at 52-60℃.
