Is the Samsung 9100 PRO overheating during Elden Ring?

Watching my frame rate swing violently between 60 and 30 FPS while riding through Limgrave was a total nightmare. The Samsung 9100 PRO's PCIe 5.0 speed is insane, but the heat is just as brutal; my core temps were spiking to 88-92℃, which triggered the controller's emergency throttling. I tried limiting the read speeds via software, but that just made the loading screens last forever—I was getting more anxious by the minute. I ended up re-seating the stock heatsink with high-grade thermal pads and bumped my front intake fans to 1500 RPM. HWMonitor showed temps plummeting from 90℃ to a manageable 55-62℃, and my frame times tightened from 15-40ms to 12-18ms. I actually messed up the installation at first—overtightened the screw and slightly warped the PCB, which meant it wouldn't boot. I loosened it by half a turn and it was golden. Read speeds are now a steady 10000MB/s+, and it's finally playable.
