Fixing PA140 WHITE Fan Noise
The low-frequency buzzing from my Thermalright PA140 WHITE during Zenless Zone Zero combat was unbearable at night. It broke the immersion completely. I tried limiting the fan speed to 1200 RPM to reduce the noise, but the core temperature spiked above 85℃, leading to performance throttling. It was a confusing trade-off that didn't solve the root problem. I then used the GamePP Fan Curve Config Panel. I set the front fan to 1000 RPM and the rear fan to 1400 RPM. This asymmetric speed difference broke the resonance frequency. The noise level dropped from 45dB to 32-35dB, as measured by a Decibel Meter. The core temperature remained stable at 68-72℃. I was pleased with the result.
