Why does Remnant II freeze during combat with 4GB RAM?

Trying to run a modern title on 4GB of RAM was a nightmare; the screen just froze the moment combat started. I tried disabling all shadow effects in-game, which gained me 5 FPS but did absolutely nothing to stop the freezes. I used the GamePP Resource Scheduler to move the virtual memory page file to my fastest SSD and expanded it to 16GB. Read/write latency stabilized at 92-98ns per GamePP IO Tool, with memory temps at 40-45℃ per AIDA64 and usage at 98-99% via GamePP Resource Monitor.
