Optimizing NVMe Queue Depth
It was ridiculous; even with an M.2 interface, loading 4K textures caused significant stuttering. I tried setting virtual memory to 50% of the remaining disk space, but this actually worsened read/write conflicts in this large RPG. I used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to lock the depth at 1024, replacing the erratic 32-64 range. Frame time fluctuations were suppressed to 15-22ms per FrameView, and SSD temps stayed at 48-58℃ per HWiNFO.
